Regulations in the media

PPC- Press Complaint Commision.
ASA- Advertising Standing Authority.
OFCOM- Regulatory body for communications industry.

These are organisations which are responsible for regulating all advertising in the UK

These are a list of examples of an image or subject which can be assumed as inappropiate and offensive.
_ Drinking alcohol
_ Drug taking
_ Nudity
_ Smoking ciggarettes
_ Violence
_ Animal cruelty
_ Death & injury
_ Criminal acts
_ People doing dangerous things
_ Advertisers making false claims
_ Sexual contents

Looking at this list you can understand why all of these points portray a bad situation and can be viewed as inappropiate. If advertising these kind of situations, companies must make sure that they advertise them in a reasonable manor which is suitable for viewers to watch.
